Give it Forward

FirstBank helped launch and continues to be the main partner of Colorado Gives Day and Arizona Gives Day. Since each program's inception, $217 million has been raised for Colorado nonprofits and $17 million for Arizona nonprofits. To drive interest FirstBank executes an annual "Give it Forward" campaign. The bank surprises the community with free necessities to encourage donations during these one-day online initiatives aimed at increasing philanthropy.

Arizona Gives Day 2020 Raises Nearly $5M for Arizona Nonprofits

Hosted by the Alliance of Arizona Nonprofits and Arizona Grantmakers Forum and presented by FirstBank, preliminary results of the 24-hour online fundraising event showed that 32,440 donations totaling $4,770,689 were made to 900 organizations.

Many Colorado Springs-area banks offering relief to COVID-19 affected customers

Most of the largest regional and nationwide banks serving the Colorado Springs area also are offering some type of help for customers affected by the pandemic, including Wells Fargo, Chase, US Bank, FirstBank and UMB Bank. Many are directed at businesses, and their employees, that have been forced to close or curtail operations under orders from state and local officials to slow the spread of the virus.

Meet Kate, 24, New Account Representative at a Bank

Kate is a new account representative at FirstBank Colorado, a job she started in May 2019 after hearing good things about the workplace culture at the bank. Previously, she had been building a career in wedding planning but had decided to change directions. She was looking for a job that would offer more competitive pay and offered a tuition reimbursement program. While she’s working full time at FirstBank, Kate is finishing up a bachelor’s degree in business and then has plans to enroll in FirstBank’s management training program.
